What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?

Ok, I confess. Sudoku

What’s the strangest talent you have?

The ability to remember postcodes, not sure why.

What are three things still left on your bucket list?

Live in the South of France for 6 months, visit the Greek islands on a chartered yacht, write a movie script (or finish the one I’ve started) and get it made.

If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?

The ability to teleport to other places instantly. Great for bypassing traffic or long flights.

What was your first job and who did you work for?

I worked in a Pharmacy after school and on Saturday mornings. It become a full time job for 2 years.

Lastly… what do you like about working for Workible

I love that we have a culture of innovation, the freedom to create and explore “what ifs” and then work together to see them come to fruition. And I love getting to work with people who are all on the same page, working to the same goal and love to have fun doing it.

Teleportation – I’d love to be able to be anywhere in the world in an instant and take anyone with me.

What I love most about the Workible team is the laughs. We work hard but laughing is like an instant vacation and not a day goes by there isn’t at least one!

What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?

For the last few years, it was completing my MBA. That’s out of the way now, but I still love to devour books on business strategy and leadership. I also volunteer on the business development committee for Dress For Success Sydney.

What’s the strangest talent you have?

Pole Dancing – although I wouldn’t say I’m ‘talented’ at it yet! I train a few times a week, so I’m working at it!

I also used to be a DJ! I gave it all up when breakbeat and vinyl went out of fashion circa 2011, but I’ve recently started to get back into it.

What are three things still left on your bucket list?

1. Go to Sun and Bass, a week-long Drum and Bass music festival in Sardinia, Italy.

2. Learn another language.

3. Become a world-famous milliner.

If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?

To be able to hit ‘pause’ on time, so I could catch up on work / sleep / exercise / etc, before hitting ‘play’ again and continuing as normal.

Or… Just to be able to sleep soundly on a long haul flight (yes, that is totally a superpower)!

What was your first job and who did you work for?

Very first job – at age 13 – was working on a farm in Griffith NSW, stripping leaves off grape vines. We were paid $2 per row and after two solid days of work in the sweltering summer heat, I’d earned a ripe sum of $50…

My first official job – at 14yrs and 9mths – was working at Williams Shoes at Park Beach Plaza, Coffs Harbour. I felt so cool because I was working in ‘fashion’ while all my other friends worked at Maccas and Woolies!

Lastly… what do you like about working for Workible

My Grandfather always said to me “Leah, if you do a job that you love, you’ll never go to work a day in your life.” My family instilled an incredibly strong work ethic in me and my career path has become a very large part of my identity. Thus, I’ve always believed that gainful employment is the key to gaining a sense of independence, pride and prosperity in life. Workible is all about helping more people find work that they love and that’s something I’m super proud to support. I love coming into the office each day and knowing that I’m part of a purpose-driven team that is committed to changing the world for the better.

In college, I was the lead guitarist for an all girls rock band. Not sure if this counts as strange!

I live to travel, so it will have to be more travel. I hope to get more opportunities to visit more exotic places and meet more interesting places.

If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?

Time travel to re-live special moments.

What was your first job and who did you work for?

It was as an Analyst Programmer with Kmart Canada as part of my Computer degree.

The genuine passion that Alli & Fiona have to change the world of recruitment for the better so that more individuals are gainfully employed in jobs that they love. I’m glad to part of the team and their vision.

I would say the grocery or a wholesale membership shopping like S&R, but I don’t think that’s a valid answer, so I guess I’d say Uniqlo or Muji. I’m really into the Japanese minimalist aesthetic. Plus, Muji has really nice stationery.

What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?

I answer sudoku… and make comics. Oh, and I’m really into card games, too.

What’s the strangest talent you have?

I’m pretty good at taking superb selfies. My friend says the strangest talent I have is my ability to eat full meals with only a fork, which I thought was normal until someone pointed it out to me.

What are three things still left on your bucket list?

Learn how to swim and then surf (and not drown).
Publish my own graphic novel.
Backpack solo around Europe and Asia.

If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?

The power to learn anything super fast, like if I could learn a new language in a day… or the power to have infinite cheesecakes, it’s a toss between the two.

What was your first job and who did you work for?

This is technically my first job… unless the years of unpaid work for my parents counts. (I guess that kinda counts, and my “salary” was allowance? My first job involved a lot of walking up and down stairs to get things and running bank errands for my mom.)

Lastly… what do you like about working for Workible?

I like that Workible gives me the freedom to do my own thing. I like that I can do work that I actually enjoy doing. I love working on graphic design and anything creative, and Workible lets me do that without the pressure to be a perfect robot.

I wish I had a Healing Ability. I could heal myself and the best part is that I could heal others especially to help ease their pain.

I can predict if there’s a cockroach near me. I can sense their presence, hear their footsteps and know their dreams of getting near me. Yikes!

1. Go to the Library of Congress in DC or the British Library.

2. Have a lunch date with Canadian actress Tatiana Maslany or Viola Davis.

3. Write my own novel.

If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?

X-men’s Rogue superpowers- the ability to steal someone else’s power. Evil Laugh.

What was your first job and who did you work for?

I was a BPO professional at Kinetic Human Division. My very first graveyard shift.

Food. Everyone from Workible brings food everyday and you can just wait for them to shower you with food. I’m just waiting for someone to bring beer. Cross-fingers!
